Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must live in the Chris' Critter Sitters service area.
- Must have reliable transportation. You will be responsible for your own gas.
- Must have current tetanus shot and be able to provide copy before start date.
- Must have cell phone and email address. This will have to be checked regularly.
- Must be able to have a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays. We are willing to work around school schedules or other jobs.
- We start pet visits as early as 6:30AM to 10 PM. Clients also request overnight stays from 8PM-8AM.
- Must not be scared of large dogs and be physically able to walk more than one dog at a time.
- Application must be completed in its entirety. Check out website for job duties.
- You will participate in a working interview before being hired. This will be 3 to 4 hours and if hired will reflect on your first paycheck. The working interview will take place in New Smyrna Beach, but you will be working closer to the area in which you live if hired.
- You must not have issues working in the rain, getting dirty or cleaning of animal waste.
- You must wear uniform including tennis shoes at each pet sitting visit. Uniforms shirts are provided.
- Starting pay is $8/hour. Employees do get tips and are eligible for gas card bonuses.
- If you are able to administer insulin injections, starting pay is $8.50/hour.
- All employees are paid bi-weekly with a Direct Deposit option.
- During the months of January and August no hours can be guaranteed as it is the slowest business of the year. Office work can be substituted during this time to keep you on payroll.
- A background check is mandatory before hiring.
- Employees will receive a pet bag with all supplies and are able to submit a supply list every month to restock. Supplies are of no cost to you.
